Human & What We Wear
This program invites children to explore the connection between people and the clothes we wear. Through art, observation, storytelling, and creative design activities, students discover that clothing is more than appearance. It reflects culture, environment, identity, and innovation.
What students learn:
- Design: From ideas to moodboards.
- Confection: Costume-making processes.
- Adaptability: Choosing outfits for any environment.
- Materials: Discovering and creating with textiles.
- Techniques: Sewing, patching, and collage assembly.
- Immersion: Exploring fabric markets and the fashion world.
- Natural Dyeing: Coloring fabric/paper with natural ingredients.
- Styling: Posing, makeup, and professional modeling/photography.
